In parallel, Department of Biochemistry and Biotechnology is making use of agreements with other departments at universities abroad entered by other Departments of the UTH.

Department of Biochemistry and Biotechnology applies the European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS) and the information on the application made through the Prospectus that is distributed to the students and the website of the Department.

During the last five years members of the Academic Staff have moved to foreign universities to teach in undergraduate and/or postgraduate courses, while corresponding foreign scientists have responded to an invitation to participate in teaching and lectures according to the Department's Curriculum. Furthermore, students of DBB have moved to foreign universities to do part of their studies, particularly their Thesis, and the Department has accepted students from abroad to the same purposes. The courses in DBB are in greek language. In order to facilitate foreign students who wish to attend undergraduate courses, the teacher should provide the student, upon decision of the General Assembly, with the necessary teaching material. The student participates in a number of individual tutoring and the training course is completed with the participation to specifically adapted examinations.

Despite the short time since Department of Biochemistry and Biotechnology operates, an international mobility is observed, mainly due to personal contacts of the Academic staff through international partnerships, networks, research projects, etc. However, it is common belief that the international profile of DBB should be intensified through the exchange of scientists and students to foreign institutions.

Responsible Academic Staff for the Erasmus program in DBB: Professor Dimitris Kouretas and Assoc. Prof. Katerina Moutou.
